Alison Newcomer, PhD
I’m a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in the treatment of anxiety, OCD, and related concerns in children, adolescents, and adults. I also work directly with parents to help children struggling with anxiety and OCD.
My approach is grounded in evidence-based treatment, with an emphasis on understanding the patterns that maintain anxiety and helping clients develop a different way of responding to it.
Clinical Background & Training
I earned my doctorate in clinical psychology from The Catholic University of America and my master’s degree from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. I completed my predoctoral internship at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
My clinical background includes work in pediatric primary care, school settings, and private practice, alongside research focused on prevention and early intervention.
